Tickets are now on sale for the Great Welsh Beer Festival (GWBF), taking place in Cardiff from 22-25 April 2020 at Sophia Gardens.
The Great Welsh Beer Festival will be celebrating the growing beer festival scene in Wales, with a highlight on Welsh beer, food and music.
There will be a wide selection of real ales, international beers, ciders, perries, gins, tasty street food, live music and more for attendees to enjoy. Roughly a third of the beers will be from other parts of the UK as well, making it a prime time to try beers that are hard to find down at your local.
Following in the footsteps of CAMRA’s flagship Great British Beer Festival, held annually at Olympia London, the festival will play host to the Champion Beer of Wales competition, a ‘trade day’ session for members of the trade and press, plus an outside marquee with room for over 5,000 beer lovers.
Winston Wardle, Great Welsh Beer Festival (GWBF) Organiser, said: “We can’t wait to bring the Great Welsh Beer Festival to Sophia Gardens this April – the festival has been a staple of the local branch calendar for many years, and the opportunity to expand and bring the festival to a new, wider audience has been very exciting.
“We will have a wide selection of homegrown Welsh drinks, food and entertainment to highlight local Welsh talent, and the bright, vibrant city of Cardiff is the perfect place to show it off.
“We look forward to welcoming real ale lovers from all over to the festival!”
