CAMRA comment on the Scottish Greens manifesto

Commenting on the publication of the Scottish Greens manifesto for the General Election, CAMRA’s Director for Scotland Sarah Crawford said:

“Pubs are vital community assets which are often the only place for people in rural communities to meet and are vital to tackling loneliness and social isolation.

“We would, therefore, like to see the Greens’ plan for municipally-run, and ultimately free, public transport to include a need for bus services to serve community pubs so that everyone across the country can access their local.

“CAMRA will also be urging other parties in Scotland to do more to make sure community pubs are accessible and can stay open, alive and thriving.”
