CAMRA’s Beer Quality Accreditation lets you find great beer, before you order at the bar.
Not all pubs keep their beer to the same standard, and our Beer Quality Accreditation helps you spot which venues consistently serve a well-kept, great tasting pint.
Whether you’re heading off the beaten track in search of an excellent beer, or choosing between pubs nearby, BQA will let you see how CAMRA members have rated their beer using the ratings described here: beer scoring.
What the symbols mean

These venues have been rated by CAMRA members as serving ‘excellent’ or ‘very good’ beer. They’re worth cancelling other plans for a visit!2 full pints:
If you’re looking for a decent pint, then look no further. These venues have been rated ‘very good’ or ‘good’ on average.1 full pint:

A venue's pint rating is based on a rolling six-month window, and requires a minimum of 5 beer scores, from at least 3 CAMRA members, to be displayed. It gives a current picture of a pub's beer quality and shifts naturally over time as new scores come in, and older ones drop off.
The rating is calculated using a Bayesian average. This is a way of working out a fair rating for a pub that takes the number of scores into account, balances a pub's own scores against the wider picture of scores across all pubs and prevents small numbers of very high or low scores having a disproportionate impact on a venue's overall rating.
