It's that time of year again when we look to fill a coach to visit Newton Abbot for MaltingsFest. We have managed to keep the cost the same as last year at £23 per person for the coach fare.
It's that time of year again when we look to fill a coach to visit Newton Abbot for MaltingsFest. We have managed to keep the cost the same as last year at £23 per person for the coach fare. This does not include festival entry.
As previously, the route will be Portland Victoria Square 8am, Wyke Smugglers, Weymouth Railway Station, Dorchester Louise Road (raffle pick up) and Dorchester Top o' Town car park, stopping along the Bridport/Lyme Regis bypass. Departing Newton Abbot at 4.30pm with a half hour stop over in Bridport.
If you have never been before here's what you can expect:
• Fully air conditioned coach with toilet.
• Convenient pick up and set down points
• Arrival at start of festival to ensure seats and tables.
• 100s of West Country Cask Ales, Keg beers, Gin & Rum bar
• A chance to meet and chat to West Country brewers.
• Good company and banter.
• Newton Abbot town centre 5 minute walk away.
• Ye old Cider Bar.
• Huge raffle on the bus home.
This trip is open to non CAMRA members so please feel free to bring a friend along. If you do, and they join CAMRA on the day using their phone, not only will they get £5 of their first year's membership, they will also get a free ticket to the Saturday night session of Weymouth Octoberfest on 17th October 2026. This will include entry, glass, programme and two pints of beer.
