Once again, the Stockport & South Manchester (SSM) branch has partnered with nearby Greater Manchester branches and Wetherspoons to host a young members recruitment evening. The organising team welcomes extra support during the event from any members, especially from our younger members.The event takes place on Wednesday, 8th October, to coincide with Wetherspoons' annual beer festival at the Ford Madox Brown, Whitworth Park, Wilmslow Rd, Rusholme, M13 9NG.

Once again, the Stockport & South Manchester (SSM) branch has partnered with nearby Greater Manchester branches and Wetherspoons to host a young members recruitment evening. The organising team welcomes extra support during the event from any members, especially from our younger members.

The event takes place on Wednesday, 8th October, to coincide with Wetherspoons' annual beer festival at the Ford Madox Brown, Whitworth Park, Wilmslow Rd, Rusholme, M13 9NG. Wilmslow Road runs through the centre of Manchester University's college and residential areas. The pub is easily accessible by a wide range of Bee Network buses.

Several branch members from SSM and other GM branches will be present to promote membership, offering an additional on-the-night benefit of 2 bottles of beer or a CAMRA-related T-shirt. 

Wetherspoon is also promoting the event and supporting us by drawing in students with the offer of cask ale at £1.99 a pint.


The popular Shut-The-Box game will be available for the evening, with prizes for those who win.
