St Helens & Districts Cider Month Day out to Chester (with tutored cider tasting!)

We are planning a trip to Chester in July to celebrate Cider Month!

We will be making our own way there by train (no coach this time I’m afraid!) and hitting a few great real ale and cider pubs in Chester before heading to the the current National Cider Pub of the Year – That Beer Place, for a tutored cider tasting event at 2.30pm. If you just want to join for the cider tasting just make sure you have your ticket and are at That Beer Place by 2.30pm. If you would like to join us for breakfast and jump on the train at Newton-le-Willows the Kirkfield is offering us an amazing 50% discount on breakfasts (don't forget your CAMRA card)!

The cider tasting will be a ticket only event and will be 1 – 1.5 hours. If you don’t want to partake in the tasting, that’s fine – you are still welcome to join us if cider isn’t your thing and you just want to join others for a wander around some great real ale pubs.

The tutored cider tasting is £25 per person and you’ll get to sample some of the best cider the UK produces – as well as some rare and interesting ones you may never have tasted before. All delivered with passion and enthusiasm from resident cider aficionados at the best cider pub in the UK! The ticket is only required for the cider tasting and does not include transport to and from the event.
