The Communities Minister has rejected recommendations to modernise alcohol licensing laws. But we still need to fight for a fairer system for drinkers, pubs and breweries.

In the run up to the May 2027 Stormont elections, we need MLAs and political parties to commit in their manifestos to ending the surrender principle and giving us a better choice of pubs, taprooms and local, independent beer and cider.
