Townhouse was setup in 2002 in Audley, Staffordshire with a 2.5-barrel plant that expanded to five barrels in 2004. In 2006 two further fermenting vessels were added producing the bulk of its beer for the Potteries. In 2021 the brewery relocated to Dalton-in-Furness, Cumbria. All cask beers have been vegan since 2005. Canning is planned.
