Northdown began brewing in 2018 using a seven-barrel plant. It is run by Jonny and Katie Spanjar and takes its name from the original intention to operate out of the Northdown area of Margate. The origins of a Northdown brewery date back to the 1600s.

Northdown - Pale Ale Mary
Pale Ale Mary 4.0% ABV – English style pale ale using Northdown, Brewers Gold and Styrian Bobek Hops. A subtle tasting ale with a hint of apricot, citrusand floral aroma. There is a slight bitterness with biscuit and malt overtones and a crisp finish that is gentle on the palate. This beer has won bronze at the CAMRA beer festival and won best beer category 2020 at the Taste of Kent awards.
