Highgate

Description

The Brewery has re-opened as a Micro Brewery Brewing hand crafted cask ales. Looking to improve standards and quality throughout. Built in 1898, Highgate was an Independent brewery until 1938 when it was taken over by Mitchells & Butlers and subsequently becoming the smallest in the Bass Group. It was brought back into the independent sector in 1995 as the result of a management buy-out. It was subsequently bought by Aston Manor in 2000. In July 2007 Highgate was bought by Global Star, a pub group. The brewery closed during 2010 and reopened later the same year as the Highgate and Walsall Brewery company. The brewery supply Molson Coors with Dark Mild as well as having a contract to brew Smiles Beers. A selection of Seasonal Beers are available including Old Ale (ABV 5.3%, Winter)
