The 10-barrel plant commenced brewing in 1995. The brewery is situated behind the Black Bull Inn, Coniston, and currently brews 40 barrels a week. Bluebird, XB and Old Man are bottle-conditioned and are brewed using Ridgeway Brewery. It supplies over 100 outlets with cask beers across the North West, and bottled beers are available in Asda, Sainsburys and Booths, as well as online. Bottled versions of Gold and Freebird (0.5% ABV) are gluten-free.
