Core of the Poodle is a small brewery located at the back of the record and hifi shop at the ‘top of town’ in Haverfordwest. The aim is to brew beers for the year-round market and make them available from a few select locations in addition to the shop itself.

Core of the Poodle - Dark Coast-Mild
Mild as a beer style has really taken a hammering since the 1960s and the arrival of kegged lager and bitters.
Milds brewed in Wales tend to be ‘dark’ and relatively lightly hopped and Dark Coast is dominated by malt (with a hint of biscuit) rather than the UK hop flavours.
At 3.5% it appeals to the mid-week drinker or to someone who fancies a couple of pints at the end of the day.
