Description

Jennings Brewery was established as a family concern in 1828 in the village of Lorton. The company moved to its present location in 1874. Pure Lakeland water is still used for brewing, drawn from the brewery's own well. Taken over by Wolverhampton & Dudley in 2005, the brewery closed in late 2022. In early 2025, the site and brands we acquired by a local couple with the aim of establishing the brewery, once more, as an independent Cumbrian brewery.,
