Cask Ale Week starts today and runs to 27 September as celebrating our national drink cask can’t be restricted to just seven days.
This 10-day celebration is an opportunity for pubgoers to try more cask beer and for pubs, brewers and organisations to promote this unique drink.
CAMRA is promoting and supporting cask beer, including running four festivals across the country. Festivals are a brilliant way to get into cask, thanks to the variety of styles on offer with all the best local beers under one roof.
So, why not check out York Beer and Cider Festival (16-19 September) to start the celebrations and then head to Shrewsbury Beer and Cider Festival (23-26 September), St Albans Beer and Cider Festival (23-26 September) and Calderdale Beer and Cider Festival (24-26 September) to round Cask Ale Week off in perfect style.
CAMRA is also offering a £5 discount to new members (17–27 September) if the code CASK26 is used when signing up.
Existing members (and new ones) get 25 per cent off all cask beer at participating Greene King pubs, more than double the usual 10 per cent. This offer runs from 16-26 September. Choose from 655 Greene King pubs across the UK, then order using the Greene King app or show your membership card to receive the discount.
Keep an eye on CAMRA’s Facebook and Instagram feeds to take part in quick cask quizzes, interactive posts and to find out CAMRA chairman Ash Corbett-Collins’ favourite cask beer.
Make sure to take a look at Cask Ale Week’s events map to find ale trails, special discounts and more festivals near you.
