Audio Description

The Steel City Beer and Cider Festival (SCBF48) will be opened by local legend and South Yorkshire firefighter Brontë Jones, runner-up in the BBC’s 2024 Gladiators series, which was filmed locally.

Brontë recently ran the Sheffield Half Marathon in memory of her boyfriend’s cousin Molly Midgley, who died aged just 27 of a rare cancer, adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC). She and the rest of Team Molly were raising money for the SCBF48 festival charity, Weston Park Cancer.

The festival will take place at Kelham Island Industrial Museum, 16-19 October.
