Unpretentious community pub that caters for local people. A central bar serves two rooms: the front room is host to many sports teams including darts, and has a TV showing football and rugby. The rear room is used by families at the weekend and diners in the evening (not Mon). The kitchen makes good use of fresh local ingredients according to season, providing excellent home-cooked food. Lunches are also served at weekends. On Thursday evening the quiz draws quite a crowd.
