Victorian, single roomed locals pub close to former Maltings & ex-railway station. Accommodation available (7 rooms) & food available (12-2.30 Sat + Sun). Large patio. No longer operates as a pub; the bar is now only open to B&B guests. A brewery was located here until 1952. Historic Interest
Listed in Station road in 1922. Advert placed in 1874 White's Directory: "Perseverance Hotel (adjoining Railway Station), Long Melford - W.M Medcalf Proprietor - having recently erected the above house, with every accommodation for the comfort & convenience of railway traveller & others, solicits the favour of public patronage. Superior wines & spirits, home brewed ales, & bottled stout. Commercial & smoking room. Cabs on hire". Changed its name in 2006.
