This Pub is Permanently Closed
Small village local on outskirts of settlement which retained an off-sales window between the two bars. Although planning permission to demolish the pub & build four houses was submitted in June 2011, the building itself has been converted into residential use. The old pub sign has been retained, which is good for historical interest, but may be confusing to visitors. Photographs of this pub and more up-to-date and detailed information about it can be found at suffolkcamra.co.uk/pubs/pub/603
Historic Interest
Reported at 1 Howards Lane in 1871 & 1881 censuses.
