Thatched, listed building which was once a Victorian brew house owned by Charles Woods. The building dates from the 17th century. The split level bar and large restaurant area have been much improved throughout to a high standard.

Historic Interest

A report in the Ipswich Journal on 22 Mar in 1887 states that : "The Bull Inn, Bacton, full-licensed house with capital 6 quarter brewery & 6 acres of pasture & arable land & outbuildings etc, was knocked down (sold) at £2000 to Mr BANTOCK. In the same sale, the Cherry Tree Beerhouse, Bacton was withdrawn, whilst the Half Moon inn, Rattlesden, the Fox inn, Elmswell, the Staff of Life Beerhouse in Stowupland, Baker's Arms beer house Stowmarket & White Horse inn, Stowupland-street were all sold." In Sep/Oct 1982 edition of Last Orders. it was reported that the Bull has reopened after a lengthy closure.
