This Pub is Permanently Closed

Back in 2001 the pseudo-Irish clutter had been stripped out after just 4 years but not to reinstate it to its former Victorian grandeur as the late lamented Gunter Arms but as yet another contemporary café-bar complete with the inevitable polished wood floor, pine furnishing, sofas etc. Optional table service. Ironically real ale had been reinstated (Pedigree) in this pub amongst the keg fonts! Upstairs drinking/eating area. Now owned by Punch Taverns ex Allied.

Closed and boarded up by 2004, reopened as a restaurant.
