This Pub is Permanently Closed

Various planning apps were submitted following this site's closure, finally ending in it becoming a Sainsbury convenience store. Previous description of pub follows.

Was well worth visiting for the ornate tiling and mirrors from 1901-2, lost for decades and rediscovered around 1970. Eight en-suite rooms. Food is Thai. Quiz night Sundays, free movies Monday evenings, karaoke on the last Friday of each month. Don't miss the St. Patrick's Day festivities, St. George's Day real ale festival, and the New Year's Eve party!
