Historic Interest
Dating back to 1822, listed in Bagshaw's Directory of 1850. May have been a Grosvenor Brewery pub owned by Thomas Montgomery from 1893, sold to Chester Lion Brewery in 1898 which was taken over by Bent’s Brewery in 1902. Became a Bass pub in 1967. The old photo is in the early 1900s when it was a Bents pub. Closed by 2016 and pub demolished in November 2020 to be replaced by residential development.
