Largish pleasant pub in the picturesque village of Ness overlooking the Dee estuary and convenient for Ness Gardens. After a period being known as the Inn at Ness and promoting itself as an Italian restaurant, in 2015 has reverted to its previous name and returned to being a more traditional pub. Good value selection of meals. Large garden at rear with climbing frames etc for children. Beer range is limited to Thwaites plus guests from their range.

Historic Interest

Dating back to 1842 having moved to the current site from nearby Well Lane where there was a record of the pub dating back to at least 1822. Listed in Bagshaw's Directory of 1850. Acquired by Birkenhead Brewery. Sunstantial rebuiding and alterations in 1931. Described in 1980 as a large open plan pub serving Whitbread Special Cask Bitter. Briefly known as the Inn at Ness before reveting back to its original name in 2015.
