Renovated in 2013 with a large well kept garden this Marston's pub on edge of town centre is popular locally for it's food and has a multiple level bar/dining area extending outside. Close to the Royal Liverpool Golf Club. The black & white photos show the pub in 1980 and 1984. Quiz on Thursdays.

Historic Interest

Possibly dating back to 1750, listed in Bagshaw's Directory of 1850, an Argyle Brewery pub from the late 1850s and transferred to Birkenhead Brewery in 1866. The advert is from 1864 and the older photos are undated. Selling Burtonwood Bitter and Mild in the 1980s.
