The Shakey is a prominently sited community local re-built in 1962 on bank part way-up Split Crow Road and a recent (spring 2013) convert to real ale. The large public bar leads to a function cum games room with pool table, dominoes, and free juke box. Dartboard and televisions found in both rooms with projector screens used for major sporting events. Fields darts, pool and football teams and holds a key draw on Sunday nights. Customers support local and national charities including Help For Heroes. Has weekly curry nights and holds the Shakey Banger Challenge. Serves tea and coffee.
