This Pub is Permanently Closed

Large Free House in Jaywick that opened on 29th June 1962, built and named by George Sheldrake. Closed in summer 2017 and was purchased in August 2017, remaining closed until a change of use application in February 2019 granted in May 2019 (Tendring 19/00330/FUL) to convert the ground floor into two shop units. Opened as Jaywick Local (convenience store) on 20 July 2019.
