This Pub is Permanently Closed

It was converted into two dwellings in 2015.

This pub popular with American serviceman during WW II does not affect any grand airs, but is a friendly side street house with a solid local support. The pub which started life as a beer shop 1845 becoming fully licensed in 1859 is named after a local sailing lugger, a forerunner of the Margate lifeboat.
