This Pub is Closed Long Term

A fine anchor sign hanging on the exterior wall with a 1741 date. The interior is large, part-divided into three areas, all served from a central bar with five handpulls. Nautical theme internally with a fine selection of old spirits mirrors on the walls. Food available most of the day. Situated centrally in the real ale hotspot of Broughty Ferry at the mouth of the Tay estuary. Pleasant coastal walks nearby along a fine seafront esplanade with golden sands, a castle and small harbour.

1 or 2 cask beers were dispensed until July 2025, when it was reported that there would be no cask beer 'for the foreseeable future'. Then in late August 2025 photos appeared in local social media of the premises freshly boarded up. Information currently being sought on the duration of closure, and any change of ownership.
