An old farmhouse conversion, the Great Lyde is split into two distinct halves; the Sportsman’s Bar is popular with locals and the separate Lounge Bar leads to the Restaurant, with family dining, including a carvery using local produce where possible. Despite being closed and reopened on more than one occasion the present recent management changes give reason for optimism, along with the previously forgotten and now reopened skittle alley that has meant there is now guaranteed custom on several nights each week.
