A traditional pub that has recently become part of the Butcombe brewery chain. The main bar area has a flag stoned floor with a grand inglenook fireplace which is lit in winter. There is an adjoining recently refurbished and comfortable restaurant now with large opening doors that lead onto the garden for summer use. The restaurant is a more modern addition to this 200 year old pub (first licence granted 1814). Excellent food is served with a changing specials board in addition to the main menu.
