This Pub is Closed Long Term

This old historic pub, has been closed for several years. When seen in August 2025, the building had been completely gutted and was just an empty shell. But major building work was in progress.

After many false starts at reopening, it was bought for redevelopment in 2022 by South Property Investment Ltd and a Planning application has been approved (subject to further construction restrictions S106) by Swansea City Council on Thu 26 Oct 2023 as follows:

2023/0754/FUL | Full planning permission to enable the use of ground floor within Class A1 and/or Class A3, addition of second and third floors and use of first, second and third floors to provide 9 no. apartments | 86 High Street Swansea SA1 1LW.
