This pub is Permanently Closed - Believed closed in early 2022, the building owners Trust Inns were advertising the property for sale. But it was still a closed pub in December 2022. When next seen in September 2024, the pub was being converted to a local shop as part of the Premier Stores chain.

The following planning application was submitted to Swansea City Council on Thu 05 October 2023 and approved on Fri 15 December 2023: 2023/2114/FUL - Change of use from public house (Class A3) to ground floor shop (Class A1) and first floor residential flat (Class C3) with creation of a new entrance to the flat. 62 Ystrad Road Fforestfach Swansea SA5 4BU
