This Pub is now permanently closed and when seen in April 2023, looked like it was being used as a residential property, but the large pub lettering was still in place on the frontage.

However Google Street View dated July 2025, shows it is now a house, although it does have a small sign on it saying "Rock and Fountain", from the Google shots, the building has been completely changed with newly repainted walls and all signs of a pub have been removed.

The following Planning application was approved by Swansea City & County Council on Tue 06 Dec 2022:- 2022/2017/FUL, Internal alterations to facilitate change of use from Public House (Class A3) to detached dwelling (Class C3) .

Friendly local situated on the side of a steep hill close to the RSPB Cwm Clydach bird sanctuary. There is an outside patio area with seating where you can enjoy the view across the valley. The pub has a comfortable lounge featuring pictures of local interest and pub memorabilia, with a separate games bar for pool, darts, dominoes and sport on TV. *****
