This ex-hairdresser's has a low ceiling and is quite dark giving it a cosy feel, although it can become a bit of a squash when it is busy. The name comes from the Victorian Tuppenny gin which was a more refined premium product than the infamous “Mother’s ruin” gin.

There are four handpumps on the bar serving real ales from a range of breweries, but regularly featuring Bristol Beer Factory. There are also 14 keg taps with 2 dedicated to Belgian and German beer respectively. A popular regular live music venue.

No kitchen, but food can be ordered and delivered from Yak the Himalayan Kitchen opposite.
