Old coaching inn rebuilt in early part of the 19th century with later extensions. It has a wing with motel type accommodation adjacent to a large car park. The bar is in the centre of the open plan layout. Although the emphasis is on food and accommodation (21rooms), it serves 3B, Wiltshire Gold and another Arkell's seasonal ale. There is also a pleasant outside drinking area with a spring and lots of flowers in baskets (in the summer). Meals are served all day every day.
