Experienced manager Sam(antha) Jennings (ex-Moon under Water, Norbury) had been appointed to turn the pub round after it had gone downhill, and had rightly banned a lot of louts. Good custom had begun to return after six months when she learned that Wetherspoon had actually paid Tesco to take the rest of the lease off their hands, seemingly since sales had inevitably but temporarily dropped.
