Young's sensitive refurbishment of this country-house style pub on the edge of the heath is to be applauded.

Various rooms lead off from the bar and a small outdoor drinking area overlooks the bus stand.

Barbecues are held in the large beer garden in good weather. There is also a ping-pong table in the garden.
