The Grade II Listed building dates from the 16th century.

Historic Interest

The 1904 Woodbridge licensing records show that the King's Head's licence was issued in 1700. A paperback book published in 1969, called "Inns of the Suffolk Coast" by Leonard P Thompson** contains the following extract: "Richard Harvie, in his will dated 20th February, 1653, left to his daughter "my house wherein I now dwell, commonly called the King's Head, which I lately purchased of Robert Jacob, the elder, & Robert Jacob, the younger". "looking at the camera website, I can tell you that my sister & her husband Neville Bradshaw & Joyce Bradshaw were landlords of the Kings Head from 1958 to 1965 (approx). i hope this info is of use to you & if I can be of help in any way please feel free to contact me." kind regards, Neville Utting.
