This Pub is Closed Long Term

Real ales, pub games, sport on 5 HD TVs, disco and live music in a friendly, welcoming one bar pub. There is a well stocked jukebox, with free play every Friday, plus occasional disco/live music nights. There is a fortnightly bingo session on Thursdays. Sponsors of AFC Eagle. Bar snacks available at most times but the pub is also happy for customers to order takeaways from any of the local food emporiums & eat your food in the pub. They'll happily provide you with a plate, cutlery and even do the washing up afterwards. Car park is on the opposite side of Newport Road. Its well worth visiting the rear beer garden to see half a dozen different 'Eagle Inn' pub signs from the past. There is a Community Defibrillator up a flight of steps in the beer garden provided by the Eagle Inn.

In Feb 2024 the owner announced that he had been unable to find new tenants and intended to convert the pub into a house.
