This Pub is Closed Long Term

**Closed in September 2025, and put on the market the following month. The local community tried to raise funds to purchase the pub, but fell some way short of reaching the required total of £348,000 and the bid failed in May 2026. As of July 2026, it is on the open market with an asking price os £325,000

Pant means 'hollow' in Welsh, maybe because it lies directly below the disused mines at Llanymynech Rocks Nature Reserve. This serves as a reminder that hereabouts. the very penetrable national frontier is close by.!
