Popular family run 16th Century village and community pub with restaurant overlooking the village green opposite where the pub uses the petanque pitch. Pub classic food with an inventive modern twist is home-cooked and locally sourced with fish Fridays and roasts on Sundays. Veteran and classic cars meet here on the first Sunday lunchtime of each month as they have done for decades and there is a bikes meet on the first Saturday. The pub has an extensive lending library and also is a food bank drop off point for the village. Quiz last Thursday of the month. At the Christmas Fair the car park is converted into an ice rink.
