Located in the centre of a busy roundabout near Farnborough Main train station was well located to be successful. But a succession of poor managers failed to realise the pubs potential. In February 2014 a speculative developer announced plans to develop the pub site into 62 flats, with space for a café or bar; the subsequent planning application was refused in January 2015. Despite it's demolition, planning permission was subsequently approved for flats to be built on the site.
