This Pub is Closed Long Term
A 17th century inn a couple of 100 metres south of the village centre near the cricket club. The Cherry Tree was an imposing country pub on a corner plot, with a large garden and car park.
It closed in March 2017 and the local community considered buying the pub and an Asset of Community Value application was submitted and has never been determined. In December 2017 planning permission was granted to convert the pub into housing.
