This Pub is Temporarily Closed

A pleasant traditional pub on the High Street refurbished in September 2014. Offers a good selection of reasonably priced food in addition to two or three real ales from the Greene King stable. There are 4 handpumps on the bar counter.

Historic Interest

Opened in 1904 having been purpose built by Whitbread and replaced a nearby pub of the same name. It, and its predecessor, remains the only pub ever to be sited on the north side of the high street.
