A former coaching inn rebuilt after the civil war,some of its stone foundations were looted from the nearby castle. Today it is the Original Dorset Piddle Brewery tap and also sells locally sourced guest beers. Excellent food is available all day plus a Sunday carvery (booking recommended) which makes it popular with locals and visitors alike.Seasonal beer festivals are popular outside is the heated courtyard. The newly refurbished Sophie Dawes barn sells home made cakes and fresh coffee and is available to hire for parties, functions and even skittles nights. Breakfast served until noon
