Family-owned and run Grade II listed inn, restored to create the feel of yesteryear. Dating to around 1720, when it was a coaching house, the inn overlooks the medieval village stocks and market cross. An ideal touring base for the North York Moors, Ryedale, and Dalby Forest, it prides itself on freshly-cooked food, with a wide range of specials. There is a large main room separated into a drinking and eating area. Accommodation is available with six en-suite rooms featuring handmade pine furniture. A smoking/drinking area is located at the rear and dogs are welcome away from the restaurant.
