Former charity school, opened in 1776 by the Ffeofees of Rotherham. Became a pub named Ffeofees in 1981 and a Wetherspoon's in 2001. The selection of up to ten hand pulled beers includes up to six changing beers from local, regional and national breweries with local microbreweries especially favoured. The ciders served from boxes in the cool cabinet behind the bar are not considered as real by CAMRA. There is a Monday Club when real ales are cheaper and a special offer of reduced price on real ales on production of a valid CAMRA membership card on Wednesday evenings after 7pm. There is a quiz on Wednesday evenings. Good Beer Guide and regular winner of local CAMRA Branch awards.

Historic Interest

Originally a charity school, opened in 1776 by the Ffeofees of Rotherham. The exterior is largely unchanged. There is a blue commemorative plaque near the entrance door.
