Originally built as a railway hotel adjacent to the long closed Parkgate Station. It was featured in the film "Tread Softly Stranger." It now stands on its own, close to the roundabout that leads to Parkgate Retail World. it was popular with workers from the nearby Aldwarke Steel Works in the past. Handy for the retail park and for the South Yorkshire Transport Museum. Under new management since 4th Marh 2024. Fresh cooked lunchtime meals and carvery on Sundays.
