This Pub is Permanently Closed
The Yew Tree was a former Courage pub half way up Reigate Hill next door to the Esso garage, and was a Good Beer Guide regular for many years. Although there was been a pub on this site for 300 years, the pub at closure dated back to 1938. The pub had a mock-Tudor exterior, leaded glass windows, wood panelled walls and a parquet floor. The one bar served two distinct areas separated by a large chimney breast in which there was installed a real fire. The side on the left was more of a restaurant with the right hand side being the main drinking area.
