This Pub is Permanently Closed
The Ranmore Arms was an isolated pub set in six acres of land on the Pilgrim's Way and the Surrey Cycleway. Previously the Ranmore Country Club, it only became a pub in 1972. It was not the most attractive of pubs, basically being little more than a bungalow. However it was a rarity in the area, being a true free house. Even better, it sold good beer. On Saturday night live music was performed, sometimes featuring nationally known musicians. The pub closed around 2000 and there is now housing on the site.
